Fireworks, food, and freedom: some of the wonderful things we do best here in the United States to celebrate our nation’s independence. The Fourth of July is nearly upon us, but don’t worry if you haven’t figured out your holiday plans just yet – we have you covered!
Ways to Beat the Heat
- Wind down at the ATC Courtyard Marriott
- If you have the day off from work on the Fourth of July, take some time to rejuvenate and let your hair down with a staycation. Leave your worries at the door and plan a day away at the Courtyard Marriott. From soaking up some sun by the poolside to playing Marco Polo in the water with the kids to getting in a quiet jog on the trails at Bluestem Park, you’ll feel refreshed come July 5.
- Cool down with Life Time
- Some of the best Fourth of July memories are made in the water. If the stunning indoor gym facilities at Life Time weren’t enough to entice you to join, surely the beautiful Olympic-style pool, complete with water slides, a kid-friendly swim area, tons of lounge chairs for sunbathing and an outdoor cafĂ© for poolside drinks and snacks, will! Bring the kids and let them swim the day away before heading out to fireworks later that evening.
Fireworks and Festivals
- Fort Worth’s Fourth at Panther Island Pavilion
- If you’re looking for something to do all day, Fort Worth’s Fourth at Panther Island Pavilion is the perfect festival for you and your family. With free admission, tubing, bounce houses, live music, and a spectacular fireworks show after dark, Fort Worth’s Fourth is fun for all ages.
- Texas Rangers Air Force Appreciation Night
- Join the Texas Rangers for world-class, post-game fireworks during Air Force Appreciation Night. Watch the Rangers face off against last year’s World Series winners, the Houston Astros, in what is sure to be an exciting game for all who attend. For Fourth of July food connoisseurs, the ballpark is also offering Texas Chili Company Dollar Hot Dog Night.
- Family 4th Fireworks Show in North Richland Hills
- Looking for a family-oriented fireworks show? North Richland Hills’ fireworks display is one you definitely shouldn’t miss. With fun, food, and entertainment for your whole crew, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Kicking off at 5 p.m., there will be kids’ activities, a salute to veterans and a free concert by country singer/songwriter, Holly Tucker. Later in the evening, enjoy an outstanding fireworks show beginning around 9:30 p.m.
- Bedford 4thFest
- Head down to Bedford for its annual 4thFest! Activities are available all day long, including winding through the lazy river at Splash Aquatic Center, snacking at the food court, springing through the bounce houses until your heart is content at the InflataFUN Area, sparking your creativity with arts and crafts at the Children’s Activity Area, and rounding out your evening with a hot rod show, live music, a salute to our soldiers and a fireworks extravaganza after dark!
Independence Day means something different to each of us. Wherever July 4 takes you, ATC wishes you and your family a fantastic Fourth of July.
